Allegan County Office/Court Service Changes 


The following are service changes during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak. For assistance reaching a County service during these changes, a temporary help center MF 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. has been established at 269-686-5150.





​The courts have implemented plans to reduce required appearances and provide more flexibility in effort to minimize close contact. More details are highlighted in this Press Release.

​​Due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, our boating safety classes have been cancelled/postponed, resuming at the end of May through July. Following is a news brief. Any updates to this schedule will be updated on the Marine Safety page.

All non-emergency hearings where parties to a case are not in custody will be adjourned/re-scheduled until after 5/4/2020. Public service window is closed.

We ask that all business be done online, by mail (address on website), fax, or via phone when possible. Phone: 1-877-543-2660, email:, Fax: 1-269-673-0322.

The website has a number of forms and FAQs available, and we are working to add more at this time.  The website also lists alternate ways to pay your child support by cash, check, cashier’s check, money order, and credit card.  
We are open to the public: M-F, 2pm-4pm to accept cash payments and will also accept any forms you are unable to submit via email, fax, or mail.

​Parks has postponed selling season passes through April 17, 2020. Please postpone non-essential visits to any County office. Campgrounds/Vault Toilets/Playgrounds are closed through April 13, 2020. If you have a question or concern, please contact Parks by email at or our office at (269) 686-9088

​The Allegan County Resource Recovery Program’s Regional Recycling Depot Site operated by Republic Services and located at 3310 M-40, Allegan, MI will be closed until further notice.  Broken Arrow Recycling located at 1100 Lincoln Road, Allegan, MI will remain closed until April 13th.  Please see attached notices from Republic Services and Broken Arrow Recycling. 

Illegal dumping at these sites will not be permitted.  Residents shall not utilize these sites while closed.
