Animal Control is under the purview of the Sheriff’s Office and consists of two Animal Control Officers who patrol the county and respond to complaints regarding domestic animals such as dogs and cats. They respond to calls for assistance with dogs running at large, animal bites, strays, etc. They also perform kennel inspections.
The Animal Shelter is under the purview of the Health Department, and is staffed by volunteers who care for the animals in the shelter, and arrange for the adoption of unwanted pets.
(If no one is available to answer your call, please leave a voice message and a number where you may be reached.)
