Cheever Treatment Center
Who we are:
Cheever Treatment Center is a home-based residential program that serves youth and their families involved in the Family Court system. Our program design is based on providing instruction and support to families so youth have the opportunity to master developmental tasks that lead to cognitive, emotional, moral and psychological maturity.
Who we serve:
We serve youth between the ages of eleven and seventeen who have been court ordered. Our treatment process involves both the youth and their families. The community is served as youth take accountability for their actions, develop competencies that facilitate meaningful participation in their surroundings, and reconnect to their community through relationships and service.
What we do:
Through the principles of Choice Theory and Restorative Justice, we provide instruction and activities that leads to an understanding of themselves, accountability, competency and community safety.
Instruction and Activities include:
- Assessment and goal setting
- Family Meetings
- Academic learning
