(Allegan, MI) – As of September, 7, 2018, the Allegan County Health Department has not received the remaining test results from the Michigan Department of Health & Human Services (MDHHS) and Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) for the Otsego area sampled residential wells.
The MDEQ has identified 17 private wells with detectible dioxins in Allegan County in the Otsego greater area. The laboratory is processing the rest of the dioxin samples and PCB congeners and MDEQ has notified ACHD that it may take an additional two weeks.
