Compensation Study

We are at the appeal process stage. This site will provide you with information on the compensation study process and the suggested Decision Band (DB) for all Part-time and Full-time positions within the organization.  Once the PT and Full-time positions have been fully vetted the organization will identify steps to determine Irregular positions.  If you are a Part-time or Full-time employee the compensation team suggests that you review all the information contained on the site.   This will be very important if you decide an appeal is appropriate.

Included on this site is the Final Report provided to the Board by Fox/Gallagher on July 14, 2016.   As stated before the Board is considering this report as data that may be utilized by the county moving forward as part of a 5 year plan.  Please understand that the report does not confirm a new position classification, or a new salary range.  It simply will be considered as recommendations from Fox Lawson based on the data they compiled. 
The main focus of the appeal process is to ensure each position has been classified appropriately.   If you believe that your position has been classified incorrectly, you have the right to appeal that decision. To the extent you believe your Decision Band is in error, you have until September 2, 2016 to request reconsideration of this Decision Band.  If you have any other questions please contact your Department Head.

UPDATE:  The attached Wage Table demonstrates both the potential ranges and steps employees may reference relative to their proposed Decision Band.  The table currently reflects annual salaries and hourly rates.


  1. Review the Training Guide and Summary Chart for how to develop a DB
  2. Review the Position List and DBM.  If you do not know your official position or position ID #, consult your supervisor or manager for assistance.

  3. Review your submitted PDQ against the Training Guide and DBM.  The PDQ was returned to you earlier in the process.  If you do not have a copy of this, contact your supervisor in assisting you to get another copy.

  5. If you do not agree with your position DB please review the Appeal Process, print the Appeal Form and submit it in accordance with the instructions on the form.
